Conference Planning Committee for "Politics, Poverty and Prayer: Global African Spiritualities and Social Transformation" Conference, (Nairobi, Kenya), July 2010. For this conference, I reviewed abstracts, notified participants of acceptance, designed a website, and helped coordinate logistical details for the conference.

Global Feminist Theologies Immersion Project, (Nairobi, Kenya), International Coordinator, 2008-2009. For this project, I served as the project coordinator. This entailed writing the initial project proposal, writing grant proposals and securing funding, and coordinating all on-site logistics (lodging, travel, coursework arrangements, service project, etc). Concilium International Journal for Theology Conference Co-Organizer, Loyola University Chicago, June 2009. For this conference, which took place at Loyola, I worked prior to the conference to review abstracts as well as to make accommodation arrangements and other pre-conference plans. I also created promotional materials to advertise the conference.

Journal work and Editing

Assistant Reviews Editor for the proposed African Association for the Study of Religions (AASR) e-journal (forthcoming).

Political Theology journal, Referee. Referee work for articles for the Political Theology journal, 2008-Present.

Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics, 2006-2008, As a Graduate Assistant to Patricia Jung, I worked with the Journal to help assign referees and to coordinate the referee process on-site at the Society of Christian Ethics meetings.

Currently co-editing two books - one entitled "African Religion and Health" which is being published through the African Association for the Study of Religion book series. This book is an edited volume resulting from the AASR meeting in Botswana, 2007. I am co-editing a second book on collaborative feminist theologies, an edited volume resulting from the Global Feminist Theologies project in Kenya, 2009.

COmmittees and organizations

Assistant Secretary General/Webmaster for the African Association for the Study of Religions (AASR) - 2010-2015 term. 

Steering Committee, American Academy of Religions, Feminist Theory and Religious Reflection Group - 2010-present.

Society of Christian Ethics, Ethics and Fieldwork Interest Group Co-convener, 2007-present. As one of the founding co-conveners of this group, I have worked for the past few years with Todd Whitmore (University of Notre Dame) and Jennifer Beste (Xavier University) to generate interest in the group and to plan meetings at the Society of Christian Ethics annual meeting.

Loyola Theology Graduate Student Caucus - Vice-President, 2007, President, 2007 & 2008. As Vice-President and President of the Graduate Student Caucus, I worked with other officers to plan professional development components for meetings and to organize other caucus-sponsored events.
